Pike Press

My Role with the Publication: As the Marketing Director for the Pike Press, the Pike School’s student-run newspaper, I specifically aim to link the students with the newspaper and get their voices heard. I work with the writers, editors, and faculty advisors, as well as the entire school staff.

My role encompasses workflow, editing assistance, and content review, and working on every component that helps shape each edition of this newspaper that gets published every month. My work also involves collaboration with the editors in tweaking articles for better clarity, accuracy, and tone, and assisting with overall newspaper layout.

In addition to working on editorial tasks, I am also involved in outreach efforts to bring more student participation. In promoting published work, I am working to ensure that Pike Press is representative of the Pike community.

I hope to develop Pike Press with the help of teamwork, organization, and effective communication in order to make it a more creative, inclusive, and representative publication of our students.
